Standard PLA is biodegradable "corn plastic" made from renewable resources and is the most popular 3D printing filament worldwide. It prints easily at lower temperatures with minimal warping and produces hard parts with a typically matte finish. PLA is ideal for prototyping and decorative items but has limited heat resistance (begins softening around 60°C).
